Zinc Plating

In recent years , the company has added to its technical abilities in the provision of zinc finishing processes. For the customer, this means choice as to the right process for the appropriate task.



In particular, the company is able to provide specialist services in acid zinc processing, which includes MacDermid Du Zinc. MacDermid provide us with an excellent technical service enabling us to help our customers with specific requirements.

Key features of what the company can provide stem from:

• 30-station fully automated line for rack plating

• The introduction of a fully automated barrel line

In terms of options available, four different colour passivations are available:

Clear
Chromate pass (yellow)
Olive drab (green)
Black

The company can provide in excess of 500 hours salt spray resistance. This can be achieved through the use of olive drab passivation (green) and organic mineral topcoats.

We can also achieve up to 300 hours with chromate passivation (yellow) and topcoats.

Clear or black passivation is more of a cosmetic finish than a high corrosion protection.
